Fan, Fan, Fan

"The proper long-player, Fan Fan Fan, finds Mazzola in great form — disgusted, bemused, sarcastic, wrenched in self-doubt, spitting out the occasional profanity, and seemingly not caring a bit whether you like him or not. Never mind, of course, since you’ll be singing along quite happily as Mazzola peppers his cynicism with pretty melodies and non-stop head-boppin’ hooks"

Pop Tha Goes Crunch (U.S.A.)

The Worst Of...

"Getting through twenty-seven songs will put off most listeners, but you will find new favorites each time you pop into player. Obvious stand-outs like the fuzzy Wake Up Call and the catchy Words Like Knives will pave the way to the lonesome Weltschmerz of Car (Upon The Stars)."

Here Comes The Flood (The Netherlands)

Haters Will Hate - Single

"Kind of melancholic......kind of nostalgic.....kind of balladesque-Beatles."

Time Lord Michalis - Time Mazine (Greece)

Greatest Failures

"Greatest Failures, ironically, is of tremendous credit and testimony to the talent of Juan Pablo Mazzola. There is a great range of tempo and style within this release to quickly impress the listener and it makes for a worthy addition to the collection of any Power Pop addict. - 9/10

Elobeatlesforever (U.K.)

Baby Scream - Self Titled

"The Teenage Fanclub-ish "Powerpop Crush" announces Mazzola's intent, and the moody "Exile" is a treat. Additionally, the martial, staccato "Getting Better"-like beat of "Mental Case" is irresistible and the social conscience of "Watching the End of the World (on TV)" is backed up by its intelligent melody and structure. Mazzola has been known to channel John Lennon in his vocal style, and "What About You" finds him channeling the snarling Lennon of "How Do You Sleep" to good effect. Another high-quality outing that wears its influences well."

Absolute Powerpop (U.S.A.)

Ups and Downs

"Every song on here is well written, short and sweet, gentle little classics in the making. This album is a powerpop / Americana / Britpop classic in my opinion, and is great music to chill out to! If you want to listen to some good, well written classy music whilst relaxing then this album is for you! Very enjoyable!'

Ojos Orientales - Single

"Ojos Orientales puts some late Lennonian lyrics in a lilting "With The Beatles" rhythmic background. "Mucho Mungo/Mt Elga", with its oh-so-slightly Latin rhythm rounds of a beautiful single of pure nostalgia in a satisfyingly tasteful tone.

Abi Rhodes (U.K.)

The Riots - Single

"Morning Light owes much to Big Star and Badfinger, the music coming from a deeply emotional place.

Monsters EP

"Baby Scream are a testament to today's international internet pop culture, where an album can be made in Brisbane, Birmingham or Buenos Aires without anyone being able to tell the difference. This is pop from the Western world! Tuneful acoustic pop based around acoustic guitars with keyboard and electric guitar backing".

Identity Theft EP

"Baby Scream's 'Identity Theft' EP has a psychedelic Lennon bent that will please pop fans everywhere".
